10.1 Sensitivity adjustment
1) Turn the
SENS trimmer
counterclockwise to the minimum sensitivity position, then perform a test by walking in
the middle of the covered distance (i.e. the system's minimum sensitivity point) and verify the green LED action.
2) Gradually increase, if necessary, the sensitivity until the desired response is obtained.
3) After each sensitivity and orientation adjustment, you shall wait approximately 20 seconds in order to have all
the signals settled and, then, be able to perform another test.
Caution! Excessive sensitivity may give rise to undesired alarms under critical conditions (e.g. Heavy rainfalls,
snowfalls, etc.).
4) The system incorporates a special compensation circuit that can be adjusted by means of the
COMP
trimmer
(counterclockwise rotation of the same will increase compensation). This circuit records the disturbances that
are generated in the microwave field when the target is moving near or far transversely to the lobe; moreover, it
will automatically increase the receiver sensitivity in order to facilitate the detection of the same when the target
crosses the lobe centre line. The compensation circuit can be fully excluded by removing the
OFF COMP
jumper. Excessive compensation may give rise to undesired barrier alarms when moving objects are found
near the lobe.
