• Please read all instructions, specifi cations, and precautions before installing and using your water softener system.
• Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality. A fi lter should be installed before the softener to
remove sediment and chlorine that could affect the performance of the softener.
• The water softener should be installed by a trained professional.
• It is recommended that your water be tested to determine the best system setting.
Caution
The system must be protected against freezing temperatures, frost, snow, sleet, ice, high temperature, and direct sunlight. Exposure
to these elements can cause damage and product failures.
Do not install outdoors or in a wet environment. Moisture can cause the system electronics to malfunction.
• For cold water use only. Do not use on hot water line.
• Make certain that installation complies with all state and local laws and regulations.
• Water hammer will damage the system. Take care to open and close the valves slowly.
• Signifi cant changes in water and quality may require programming adjustments to provide the best performance.
• After initial setup or after extended time of without use, it is normal for the water to have a yellow color. Flush the system until
the water fl ows clear before using.
• During the regeneration period, the system doesn’t produce soft water (except brine dissolve). The system will use water
during this time and it is not recommended to use a large amount of bypass water during this time. It is recommended that the
regeneration time be set for when water use is low (typically the middle of the night).
• When the system will sit unused for a long period or when the water pressure is unstable, turn off the main inlet valve and
disconnect the power supply. Perform a manual regeneration one time before the system is used again.
• In case of equipment fault or other special situations, you can use the bypass valve to bypass the system. This will provide
your home with untreated water.
• Designed for residential use only.
