• Adding Salt
Salt (NaCl) is required for the operation of the water softener. During operation of the product, the user should check the salt
amount in the salt tank. Each time you add salt, the salt level should be higher than the water level (Refer to Picture I). When the
salt level is lower than 1/3 of water level (Picture II), more salt is required (Note: It takes less than 4h for salt to dissolve; ensure
the salt solution is saturated).
Use clean water softening salts only, at least 99.5% pure. NUGGET, PELLET or coarse SOLAR salts are recommended. Do not
use rock, block, granulated or ice cream making salts. These types of salts may contain dirt and sediments that might mush or
cake, creating maintenance issues for the water softener.
