3.10.14.5 Load or save MPP4 data
The 100 voltage values on the user-defined curve used to run in mode MPP4 can either be loaded from USB stick
or via digital interface. Using the way to load via HMI requires following file format (for correct naming see
•
Type CSV (text file)
•
1 column with 100 values, which are allowed to be within 0 and the rated voltage of the device model
•
The decimal separator format to use for rational values depends on the corresponding setting “USB file separa
-
tor format” in the MENU
After every run of mode MPP4 the will provides 100 result sets of U, I and P, which could be read via digital inter-
face or exported to USB stick. The latter will store a file (for naming scheme see section
) for the user to
evaluate with following format:
•
Type CSV (text file)
•
100 rows with 3 columns which form a result set (column A: U, column B: I, column C: P)
•
The decimal separator format used for rational values depends on the corresponding setting “USB file separator
format” in the MENU
The 100 result sets should contain with the highest power value (column C). This group of values either represents
the true MPP, the maximum power point, or is at least close to it. It depends on the dissemination of the 100 volt-
age points on the expected MPP curve and between 0 V and Uoc.
The group with the MPP is also displayed as Umpp, Impp and Pmpp and can also be read via digital interface
separately.
3.10.15 Remote control of the function generator
The function generator can be remotely controlled but configuration and control of the functions with individual
commands is different from manual operation. The external documentation “Programming Guide ModBus & SCPI”
explains the approach. In general the following apply:
•
The function generator is not controllable via the analog interface
•
The function generator is unavailable if the device in UIR mode (resistance mode, CR)
•
Some functions are based on the arbitrary generator, some on the XY generator, some are not based on any of
both. Therefore, both generators have to be controlled and configured separately.
•
Function “Battery test” is not available for remote control
