2.0 - MAINTENANCE MANUAL
2.1 - Introduction
Do not carry or undertake programming operations or changing the parameters set in the MC2 module of which
you don’t have knowledge, or have not received precise instructions and authorizations. All operations must be
performed by qualified personnel and in compliance with the safety standards.
Before performing any maintenance, make sure you have removed both voltage power lines, mains and unit (QLE-AO-CC). Do not disas-
semble or force electrical parts when the panel is under power.
For no reason change any parts of the electrical panel, nor position of the mechanical and electrical components.
In case you disregard what described above, the security of the panel may be compromised and the warranty immediately revoked. The
responsibility for any modification will fall on the executioner, as in fact becomes the manufacturer.
If you need to access the equipment inside the panel, follow the steps here below:
1. Push the “Stop” button on the MC2 board.
2. Check the complete stop of the unit.
3. To disconnect the line that supply the panel, open the general breaker on the mains (QLE-AO-CC).
4. Open the panel and proceed with the check of any anomaly of fuses and automatic breakers.
When maintenance is completed, repeat the inverse operation to restore
2.2 - Routine Maintenance
The panel is designed to operate without any needed maintenance, however, the following parts should be checked:
TIME
CHECKS TO BE MADE
Every 30 – 60 days
Check the battery electrolyte level. Ask for the intervention of a technician if there is an excessive consumption.
Every 30 days
For gensets with pre-heater, check if the engine is warm at every check. Otherwise require technical intervention.
(WARNING! A cold engine at low temperatures may have difficulty when starting or powering once it is running).
Every 30 days
Check the level of the water, oil and fuel
Every 30 days
If the genset rarely starts in case of mains failure, please perform an automatic test for at least 2 minutes
Every 6 months
Check the efficiency of the starter battery
If new electric machines are added to the plant powered by the genset, please ask for a technical evaluation to
verify that the switching CG / CR / Mains/ Genset is appropriate to the new load.
What shown on the table gives an indication of the timing and operations to be followed for the proper maintenance. However, it is im-
portant to follow the respective engine & alternator manuals of the genset.
2.3 - Electrical and mechanical Maintenance
For the maintenance of the ALTERNATOR and the ENGINE please refer to the respective manuals. The follwing instructions concern the
electrical parts of the command and control of the unit.
