1.3 - Types of QLE-A panels
The family of QLE panels differ in type of construction, based on the powers of use and the arrangement of built-in switching between

1.4 - Operating principle
The QLE-A panel has two modes of operation described here below:
AUTOMATIC operating:
• Press the “ Auto ” button, the green LED above the button lights up
• When the main fails, the G.S. starts automatically ( AMF function enabled )
• When the main comes back, G.S. stops automatically (after the cooling time)
• Possibility to perform the test with
NO load with remote timer when the mains is present ( AMF function enabled )
• Possibility to perform the test with load, if the mains were to fail during the test ( AMF function enabled )
• Possibility to start the G.S. by a remote contact ( AMF function disabled )
• Display always on.
MANUAL operating:
• Press the “ Auto ” button, the green LED above the button will turn off (if on)
• When the main fails, the G.S. does not start
• Manual start and stop of the G.S. (if the green LED above the Auto button is on, press the “ Auto ” button again, then press the “ Start ”
button)
• The MC2 board goes into power saving mode after a pre-set time (
AMF function disabled )
• With GS started, possibility to force the switching between the mains / G.S.: by pressing the “ Start ” button, the mains contactor opens
up. By pressing a second time the “ Start ” button, the G.S. contactor closes. By pressing the “ Stop ” button, the G.S. contactor opens up
and by pressing a second time the “ Stop ” button, the mains contactor closes ( AMF function enabled ).
During the operation, the main electrical and mechanical parameters of the G.S. are shown and all the protections are activated. The
overload and short-circuit protection for powers from 10 to 40kVA are managed by the MCCB mounted on board of the panel, for powers
from 50 to 250KVA they are managed by the MCCB mounted on board of the alternator. The differential protection comes as an optional
feature.
If any fault occurs, the MCCB on the panel (QLE-AO-SC and QLE-AO-CC) or mounted on board of the unit (QLE-AV) remains closed.
During the restart phase, it is important to open the MCCB, gets the G.S. to start, 10 seconds after the reboot close again the switch and
then the load is supplied.
