8. Programming tax rate
When programming tax rates use the same procedure as in previous cases when department and PLU data
are programmed. The register enables working with up to 7 levels of value added tax and with a zero rate (no
tax). The tax rate is programmable.
The tax level has two basic components preprogrammed:
1. Tax rate (0%, 6%, 23%, ...)
2. Tax name (TAX, VAT, TAXATION, ...)
The tax programming procedure :
8.1. Programming tax rate
Turn the mode key to the „P“ position. Press the
I
(REFUND) button. “ 0I 000000 “ appears in the
display. The left side of the display designates the tax level number. The right side represents the data area for
tax rate programming. Enter the tax rate without the decimal point. The first two digits mean the integer part of
the tax rate in a percentage. The last two digits represent the decimal part of the tax rate (for VAT 23%
i.e. 2 3 0 0). Press the
V
button. The display is set to the tax name programming (description of the
tax).

Note : You can change the programmed tax rate value only after the periodical report has been executed.
