the switching pressure, this is a sign of its overloading - high air offtake by an appliance, leakages in
pneumatic distributions, aggregate or drier defects (see chapter Troubleshooting).

Let the compressor connected to the electric network (neither switch the pressure-operated switch off,
nor disconnect the power cord) – if the humidity sensor evaluates the air as „insufficiently dry“, it starts
regenerating the drying chamber filling, that means due to the air passage from the air chamber, the
pressure therein drops and the compressor can consecutively switch on several times. The compressor
function will stop automatically after the drier regeneration.

In case that there is no air consumption and the regeneration takes place for more than 1 hour, make
sure that there is an actual regeneration involved (check whether the air is withdrawn via the tubing into
the condensate vessel) or the compressor or drier failures have occurred (see chapter
Troubleshooting).

After new installing of compressor with dryer M1a into operation (or after its longer inactivity, for
example after a weekend, holidays, etc.) and its connection to electrical power network, the dryer
regeneration starts. The compressor is put into operation automatically also without pressure air
take-off by the appliance, and thus increase pressure in the air jet into cut-off pressure (see chapter
Technical data of the Manual) when it turns off. Then the dryer regeneration takes place (passing of
the air from air jet through dryer chamber), which can be expressed as a soft air hissing coming out
of solenoid valve in the bottom part of the dryer. The air jet pressure decreases to closing pressure,
the compressor turns on and increases pressure into air jet to cut-off pressure and turns off. The
process of turning on and off of the compressor repeats in this way until the dryer is not
regenerated sufficiently. This level is controlled in the dryer through the built-in humidity monitor –
hygrostat.
The regeneration process can take several minutes (5 – 15 min) – for the new or previously already
regenerated dryer during the previous operation, or several tens of minutes (30 – 120 min) – for the
dryer being previously in its operation „overloaded“ with water vapour (for example due to the
activity regime of the compressor outside the permitted extent, during the work in the environment
with high relative humidity, etc.).
After finishing regeneration the whole process is stopped automatically.
