Chapter 2 Setup

Connecting Monitors and Encoders
To display or record images captured by the camera, devices such as a monitor and an encoder
needs to be connected.
1.
Connect input terminals of the devices to the respective output terminals
located on the rear side of CCU.
Attention
•
Audio is output from the HDMI or SDI cable on the CCU side. If the connected monitor or encoder does not
support audio input via HDMI or SDI, a stereo mini-jack cable needs to be connected.

Connecting a Computer (Optional)
To control a camera using the application, connect CCU to a computer.
1.
Using a LAN cable or an RS-232C cable, connect the CCU with a computer.
Attention
• The LAN cable must be a straight cable in Category 5e or higher.
•
To connect using a LAN cable, make sure to con gure the network settings.
The IP address in the factory default state is set to 192.168.1.100.
Change it to an IP address assigned to the network for your operating environment.
For details, contact your system administrator.
• To connect using RS-232C, use a crossover cable.
