The method of displaying colors outside the monitor's color gamut
can be set within the defined color gamut.
•
“On”
Displays colors based on the stan-
dard values. The colors outside the
gamut of the monitor are clipped.
•
“Off”
Displays colors with priority on the
color gradation rather than the color
accuracy. The primary colors out-
side the gamut of the monitor (blue
in the diagram) are adjusted to the
colors most similar to those that can
be displayed by the monitor.

The diagrams on the left are conceptual
diagrams, and do not display the actual color
gamut of the monitor.
•
This setting will be disabled if “Native” is
selected at “Color Gamut” (
page 22
).
XYZ Format On
Off
When you set this function to “On”, XYZ signals for Digital cinema
are converted into RGB signals for display on the monitor.
•
This function can only be configures if
“Color Gamut” (
page 22
) is set to “DCI”.
•
When you select “On”, the “Color Gamut”
setting can no longer be used.
Gain
0% to 100%
The brightness of each color component red, green, and blue is
called Gain. The hue of “white” can be changed by adjusting the
gain.
•
Using this function may make some color
gradations unavailable for display.
•
The gain value changes according to the color
temperature.
•
When gain is changed, the color temperature
is changed to “User”.
Black Level
0% to 100%
You can adjust the brightness and chromaticity of black by adjust-
ing the black level of red, green, and blue respectively. Please
use a black test pattern or background for adjustment of the black
level.
•
To further darken the black when the value
of the black level is 0, lower the brightness
value.
6 Colors
-100 to 100
The hue, saturation and lightness can each be adjusted for the
colors Magenta, Red, Yellow, Green, Cyan, and Blue.

Reset

Resets any color adjustments for the currently selected color
mode back to the default settings.
