9.1.4 Dimming mode
The portable lamp must be off.
• Press the pushbutton until reaching the desired dimming level.
• The LED display shows the selected dimming level.

Emergency light operation
Charging unit
• Connect to the supply voltage.
• The "Power" LED is lit.
• Insert the portable lamp.
Portable lamp
• Any switched-on LED will be switched off.
• A functional test will be carried out.
• The LED display shows information on the charging state or possible faults.
• In case of power failure, the portable lamp is switched on.
9.2.1 Switching the emergency light mode on and off
• Switch the main light on.
• Press button again and keep it pressed.
• With the pushbutton depressed, insert the portable lamp into the charging unit and
keep pressing the button until the LED signals the switchover.
WARNING
Danger due to stroboscopic effect!
Serious injuries are possible!
• Do not use the dimming mode for rotating parts.
• In dimming mode, the portable lamp does not light flicker-free!
• Under certain conditions, the rotation of parts cannot be detected.
WARNING
Danger when used in hazardous areas!
The explosion protection is impaired!
• Use the charging unit in safe areas only.
In connection with the charging unit, the portable lamp can be used as
emergency light fitting.
In case of power failure, the main light will be switched on undimmed.
Upon delivery, the "Emergency light mode" function is on.
With the function switched off and in case of power failure, the following states
will be activated at the portable lamp.
