Calibrating the System by Modeling the
Calibration Targets
Aligning the locations of calibration targets differs from that of sensors
as follows:
•
Modeling the calibration targets actually calibrates the system
rather than creating a file of sensor locations.
•
There is no initial guided identification of a target in each camera
view. Users are sent directly to the adjustment phase.
•
There is no automatic alignment of targets. A known calibrated
state is required for this feature.
•
The calibration targets need to be projected to more than two
cameras, versus sensors, because the minimum required
points to calibrate each camera is approximately equal to the
number of points that can be imaged of the calibration object
by the GPS dome.
To model the calibration targets:

Launch GPS Solver .

Open the calibration image file by selecting
Calibration >
Open Calibration .

Ensure that the calibration object is showing as the Net type.
