5 Maintenance and
troubleshooting
Malfunctions may occur during operation, but
these are generally relatively simple to remedy.
In Table 2: "Malfunctions and troubleshooting"
these malfunctions with possible causes and re-
sulting remedial actions are indicated.
Malfunction

Turn on the switch (a16.6),
motor does not start
Connection to works mains defective
Check the connection and install a
new connection, if necessary
Circuit breaker of works mains FAULT
Inspect the circuit breaker, switch
on again or replace
Snap-action switch (a16.7) faulty or connec-
tion is loose
Check contacts and connection, re-
place switch if necessary
Cable core in cable (a20) broken/defective
Inspect the cable (a20) and replace,
if necessary
Inductor stampings (a14) or armature (a6)
defective
Inspect, replace if necessary
Saw blade does not come to
a standstill within 3 seconds
Electronics faulty
Inspect, replace if necessary
Turn on the switch (a16.6),
motor runs, motor grows hot,
saw blade runs
Inductor stampings (a14) or armature (a6)
defective
Inspect, replace if necessary
Saw makes an abnormally
loud sound (motor or gear

Check if engine mounting (a8 and a9) defec-

Sprockets of bevel gear wheel pair (b16) are
worn out

Saw blade "wobbles"
Saw blade (10) not correctly mounted or se-

Inspect saw blade retainer (square),
replace, if required and fasten with
nut (b20).
Bearing (b6 or b7) defective
Inspect, replace if necessary
No cutting performance
Saw blade blunt
Sharpen or replace saw blade

disposal for all repair work. In the event of a re-
pair, please contact your nearest service cen-
tre or our parent company directly.
On request, spare parts lists can be supplied to
the repair workshop with qualified specialist
staff.
