2.1.3 Remote Management
The remote management function allows you to designate a host in the
Internet the ability to configure the Broadband router from a remote site. Enter
the designated host IP Address in the Host IP Address field.
Parameters
Description
Host Address
This is the IP address of the host in the Internet that will
have management/configuration access to the
Broadband router from a remote site. This means if you
are at home and your home IP address has been
designated the Remote Management host IP address for
this router (located in your company office), then you’ll be
able to configure this router from your home. If the Host
Address is
0.0.0.0,
means anyone can access the
router’s web-based configuration from a remote location,
if they know the password.
Click the
Enabled
box to enable the Remote
Management function.
Note
: When you want to access the web-based
management from a remote computer, you must enter
the router’s WAN IP address (e.g. 10.0.0.1) into your
web-browser followed by colon and port number 8080,
