5.8 3D/4D Mode
Depending on the system configuration and regulatory approval, 3D/4D may be available on the
C5-2MD transducer. The first step in using 3D or 4D is to activate pre-3D or Pre-4D mode. There
are three ways to activate pre-3D or Pre-4D mode:
1.
Press the 3D or 4D button on the touch screen in B-mode.
2.
Configure the
F1
or
F2
hard key to activate Pre-3D or Pre-4D. There are two options to do so,
one labeled ‘3D’ and the other ‘4D’.
3.
Press 3D/4D hardkey on the console activate Pre-3D or Pre-4D depended on the function of
3D/4D hardkey configured in System Setup page.
NOTE:
1. Measurement function is not available in 3D/4D mode.
2. Comment and Body Mark functions are supported in 3D/4D mode.
5.8.1. Pre-3D/Pre-4D
The Pre-3D and Pre-4D mode supports defining the 3D and 4D acquisition location and settings.
Figure 5-2 shows an example of the pre-3D image. The VOI (Volume of Interest) indicates the
portion of the image that will be used for 3D. The top horizontal line is the clip plane. The initial
volume rendering will show everything below this line. It can be adjusted to a curved line
upwards and downwards and its top point can be adjusted to left or right by using the trackball.
Also the position/size of the VOI can be adjusted using the trackball. Press Set key to toggle
among VOI position, VOI size and horizontal line adjusting.
