Safety
2.1 General
information
This measuring instrument has been built and tested in accordance with Industrial
Standard DIN EN 61010-1:2004-01.
In order to maintain it in this state and to ensure operation without risk, the user must
observe the instructions and warnings contained in these operating instructions.
CAUTION
If safe operation of the equipment is not possible, shut off the equipment and safeguard it
against unintentional use.
This situation may arise if the instrument is visibly damaged, if it does not appear fit to
function or if it has been stored under unfavourable conditions for a prolonged period.
Opening the instrument exposes live parts. Always switch off the power supply
beforehand!
Maintenance work under voltage must be carried out by qualified workers only!
Faults in the instrument can be repaired with the aid of the checklist in chapter
2.2 Special
labels
The labels used in this service manual have the following meanings:
CAUTION
is used when partial compliance or non-compliance with service instructions, work
instructions, prescribed operating cycles, etc. can lead to injuries or accidents.
WARNING
is used when partial compliance or non-compliance with service instructions, work
instructions, prescribed operating cycles, etc. can lead to material damage.
IMPORTANT
is used when particular care must be exercised in handling the instrument.
NOTE
is used to indicate information of particular importance.
2.3 Lists

Lists with the sign (

) denotes an activity which must be performed by
installations/service personal only.
2.4
Special safety information for maintenance- and repair work
CAUTION
Always flush dangerous media out of the dosing head, depressurise the pressure line and
wear protective clothing (safety glasses, protective gloves and apron) before performing
maintenance work.
Only trained and qualified electricians are allowed to carry out repairs to the electrics
(safety regulations prescribed by the Employers' Liability Insurance Association VB G 4 &
ZH 1/11)!
Other live parts can be exposed by opening covers or removing parts, unless they can be
removed without the use of tools.
Connecting parts may also carry an electrical current.
IMPORTANT
Only use original parts for repair work.
