1.3 Safety instructions for installers

WARNING
The overflow from the T&P valve must NOT be sealed or plugged. The valve must not be
disconnected or removed from the product.
!
Any overflow pipe from the T&P valve MUST be > 18 mm internal, uninterruptable, un-
damaged and frost-free fitted sloping towards drain.
!
The mains cable must withstand 90°C/194°F. A strain reliever must be fitted.
!
The product must be filled with water before the power is switched on. Never operate the
water heater unless it is completely filled with water.
!
The relevant regulations and standards, and this installation manual, must be followed.
!
The water heater can make water hot enough to cause severe burns instantly, which can
result in severe injury or death. See warning label on product for details.
1.2 Safety instructions for users

The overflow from the safety valve must NOT be sealed or plugged. The valve must not
be disconnected or removed from the product.
The product must NOT be covered in front of or near the junction box cover.
The product must NOT be modified or changed from its original state.
Children must NOT play with the product or go near it without supervision.

The product must be filled with water before the power is switched on.

Maintenance/settings should only be carried out by persons over 18 years of age, with
sufficient understanding

The product warranty does not cover any damage or defect caused by attachment, instal-
lation or use of any type of energy saving or other unapproved devices onto, into or in
conjunction with the water heater. The use of unauthorized energy saving devices may
shorten the lifespan of the product and can result in property damage, injury or death.

CAUTION
The product must not be exposed to frost, over-pressure, over-voltage or chlorine treat-
ment. See warranty provisions.
Maintenance/settings should not be carried out by persons of diminished physical or
mental capacity, unless they have been instructed in the correct use by someone respon-
sible for their safety.

The product should be placed in a room with drain to avoid any material damage in case
of leakage. Liability for consequential damage will only apply if this is followed.

The product should be properly aligned vertically and horizontally, on a floor suitable for
the total weight of the product when in operation. See 2.4.

The product must have a clearance for servicing of minimum 40 cm in front of the junc-
tion box cover and sufficient space for servicing above the top.
