How to operate the tuner with an optional satellite radio tuner connected (U.S.A./CANADA only)
About XM satellite radio
If the optional XM satellite radio tuner unit is connected, satellite radio broadcasts can be received.
With XM satellite radio, over 170 channels are available including music,
sports, news, and entertainment programs.
The channel can be selected from categories such as ROCK and DANCE, or
by selecting individual channels manually.
Reception of XM satellite radio is fee based; you have to subscribe to it.
It is possible to subscribe through the XM radio website.

If the optional SIRIUS satellite radio tuner unit is connected, satellite radio broadcasts can be received.
With SIRIUS satellite radio, over 130 channels are available, including music,
sports, news, and entertainment programs.
The channel can be selected from categories such as POP and ROCK, or by
selecting individual channels manually.
Reception of SIRIUS satellite radio is fee based; you have to subscribe to it.
It is possible to subscribe through the SIRIUS radio website.

Selecting the radio mode (XM/SIRIUS)
1 Press the [SOURCE/PWR] button for less
than one second, until the (XM/SIRIUS)
satellite radio mode is displayed.
Selecting a channel (XM/SIRIUS)
Category selection (XM/SIRIUS)
The channel can be selected from among
categories such as ROCK, POP and DANCE.
Consult the (XM/SIRIUS) satellite radio website for
the details of the categories.
1 Press the [ /BAND] button for less than one
second to switch to the desired (XM/SIRIUS) band.
XM satellite radio:
The radio bands will switch from XM1
→ XM2 → XM3
→ XM4 in order, each time the button is pressed.
SIRIUS satellite radio:
The radio bands will switch from SIRIUS1
→
SIRIUS2 → SIRIUS3 → SIRIUS4 in order,
each time the button is pressed.
2 Press the [ ▲ ] button or the [ ▼ ]
button to tune to a channel.
[ ▲ ] : Selects a higher channel.
[ ▼ ] : Selects a lower channel.

Press the [ ] button or the [ ]
button for more than one second to
start an automatic channel search.
Reception is enabled for all channels within the currently
selected category. (For details, refer to “Category selection”.)

] : Starts searching for higher channels.
[ ] : Starts searching for lower channels.
1 Press the [ ] button or the [ ]
button for less than one second.
The category will switch each time the
button is pressed.

Advances to the next category.

Returns to the previous category.
