4.3 Establishment of a serial connection
For a
local
connection between the LAN gateway and PC (LDSWin as remote station) an optionally available
accessory cable (article number LICANYKAB2) is required.
The connection is made via the SUB-D plug to the socket on the front of the housing labelled
CAN2
. This
interface can be used, amongst other things, for
•
requesting data from the equipment of the E.LDS system,
•
compiling daily temperature lists,
•
configuring E.LDS components
•
transmitting messages and alarms to the PC software LDSWin.
For the serial connection between the PC and the LAN gateway a special accessory
cable (2) is required, which must be connected as shown above.
