5.3 Modbus station monitoring
Only CI 4100 or higher
The controller cyclically checks the presence of all UA 30 RC / UA 30 RS case controllers, case controllers at
LDS1 gateways and external controllers from third party providers once they have been detected in the system.
If any component fails, this is detected by the station monitoring and the error message
"Computer fault Mxx" is
generated. Each new component connected to the Modbus is detected automatically by the system centre
using "plug and play" and included in the station monitoring (see Menu 2-2).
The following Modbus nodes can be present in the E*LDS system:

5.3.1 Integration of case controllers of the E*LDS system

The following case controllers can be integrated and archived in the E*LDS system via Modbus: Connection to
the system centre is made via the COM3 / Modbus interface.

ATTENTION
The port configured in LDSWIN applies for all systems managed by LDSWIN. Therefore, configuration
must be standardised here! Ports other than port 5000 should only be used in justified cases. If a
connection is made via a firewall, the configured TCP/IP port must be opened for the TCP/IP service.
In the event of incorrect port configuration, no communication between LDSWin and the System
Centre is possible! The use of a “Well Known Port” (0-1023) can result in communication problems and
should be avoided!

