NTRODUCTION
With your PocketDISH you can transfer digital photos (images) from your computer, camera,
camcorder, USB flash drive or any other multimedia device which operates as a mass storage
device.
The PocketDISH cannot handle all digital formats, but most of the JPEG and BMP formatted
photos (images) from any camera are supported. If you encounter a format that is not supported,
it is possible to convert the file with use of commercially available programs such as Adobe
Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro into a format that the PocketDISH will playback.
When you convert a photo (image) to JPEG or BMP, make sure you use the RGB color or
Greyscale mode setting. Consult the user’s guide that came with the program for detailed
instructions.
If you have photos (images) that are not digitally available to you, you can use a scanner to
digitalize them. Once you saved the scanned photo (image) as .jpg or .bmp, you can transfer it to
the PocketDISH for viewing. Consult the user’s guide that came with the scanner for detailed
instructions.
Once the photos (images) are transferred to the PocketDISH, it is possible to view them
separately or in a slideshow.
To display the photos (images) on a TV, it is recommended you change the Photo browser -
Image Display settings to Progressive to avoid screen flickering.
In addition to the playback of DISH Network content, the PocketDISH can also display photos or images
from other sources. These photos (images) need to be either in JPEG (.jpg) or BMP (.bmp) format.
