Dishes suitable for induction heating
• Use only dishes with bottoms suitable for induction heating. Search for induction symbol on
the dish or on the packaging.
• You can test the suitability of the dishes using a magnet. Bring a magnet near the bottom of
the pot or pan. If the magnet is attracted the dishes are suitable for induction heating.
• If you have not a magnet: Pour a bit of water in the tested container. If the symbol
does not fl ash on
the display, the dish is suitable.
• Cookware from the following materials is not suitable for induction cooking: pure stainless steel, aluminium
or copper without a base of magnetic material, glass, wood, porcelain, pottery and stoneware.
Suitable size and shape of the cookware
• Do not use cookware with rough bottoms, which could scratch the ceramic surface.
The bottom of the dish should be as thick and even as possible.
• The bottom of the cookware should have a size corresponding to the
size of the zone you are going to use. If the pot would be a bit wider, the
energy will be used with maximum effi
ciency. If you use a pot with a smaller
bottom diameter, the effi
ciency might be lower than you expect. A dish with
a diameter of less than 14 cm might not be detected by the hob. Always
center the cookware in the cooking zone.
• When moving the pot or pan always lift it up, never push them on
the ceramic plate to prevent it from scratching.
Appliance control
Touch control elements
• The control elements react to the touch, you do not have to press them forcefully.
• Operate the buttons with the whole pad of your fi nger, not just the tip.
• A successful pressing of the button is signalled by a beep.
• Make sure that the control elements are always clean and are not covered by any
object, e.g. a dish or a tea towel. Even a thin layer of water can make operating the
buttons diffi
cult.
Cooking start
Hold your fi nger on the ON/OFF switch for 3 seconds. A beep sounds and
the display shows “-” or “- -”. Thus the hob indicates going in the standby
mode.
Put a suitable dish on the cooking zone.
• Make sure that the bottom of the pot and the surface of the hob are
clean and dry.
• Tap the appropriate button to select the required cooking zone. The
indicator of the selected cooking zone starts fl ashing.
Slide your fi nger over the temperature control to set the required power
level.
• If you do not set the temperature level within 1 minute the hob shuts
down and you have to start again from the beginning.
• You can adjust the cooking temperature any time during cooking.
