Connection and start-up
5.1 Mechanical connection
Danger
Mechanical connection should be performed first
before electrical hookup.
Make sure that the cables are de-energized.
Secure against renewed switch-on of the operating
voltage.
Never work on live parts.
Caution
Heavy loads when removing device
Risk of physical injury, such as back injuries!
Two people are required to lift the device out of the
packaging if it weighs more than 10 kg.
Use suitable hoisting equipment if the device
weighs more than 50 kg.
You should also observe the relevant
specifications in national guidelines and
regulations.
Caution
Cutting and crushing hazard
Cutting or crushing hazard when the device is
removed from the packaging!
Lift the device carefully out of the packaging,
taking care to avoid impact.
Wear safety shoes and cut-resistant safety gloves.
Danger
Electrically charged device!
Electric shock, risk of injury!
Stand on a rubber mat when working on the
electrically charged device.
Warning
Live terminals and connections even with the device
switched off
Electric shock!
Wait five minutes after disconnecting the voltage
at all poles before opening the device or removing
the driving/steering system.
5.1.1 Requirements
Caution
Avoid electrostatic charging
Electrostatic charging could destroy the electronic
components. Ensure ESD protection during the entire
disassembly and installation process.
Check the product for transportation damage. Damaged
products must not be installed.
The impeller is only to be replaced in a dry environment
with a non-condensing atmosphere.
Ingress of moisture due to fog or precipitation may destroy
the driving/steering system.
Do not subject the cables to impermissible strain.
5.1.2 Disassembling the driving/steering system
Caution
Voltage at the product
Electric shock
De-energize the driving/steering system.
Secure it to prevent it from being switched back
on.
Ensure safely isolated from supply.
Observe the waiting time on account of capacitor
voltage. The wait time is at least 5 minutes.
Warning
Hot housing surface
Risk of injury
Ensure sufficient protection against accidental
contact.

1. Unplug the cables’ plug connections.
2. Loosen the fastening screws.
(depending on the installation position: attachment on top
driving/steering system 4 screws; attachment to side of dri-
ving/steering system 8 screws)
