7. Maintenance
7.1 General information
Any repair or replacement of parts of the system must be performed exclusively by Eaton certified installers.
The repair or replacement of parts of the system by personnel who are not Eaton certified will immediately invalidate
the product guarantee.
Only genuine or Eaton approved spare parts must be used. Using no genuine spare parts or not Eaton approved spare
parts will immediately invalidate the product guarantee.
Immediately replace the components that do not appear in perfect conditions.
Before starting any maintenance operations, make sure that the system has been switched off, and that the AC line
external main switch has been set to off.
It is absolutely forbidden to open the xStorage Home 3P.
Do not carry out other operations on the inverter for at least 10 minutes. The inverter contains capacitors that need a
minimum time to discharge.
10 min
Never disconnect the AC or DC connectors connected to the xStorage Home 3P system before having disconnected
the protection switches (external and internal). Any disconnection of the connectors during operation can generate large
electrical arcs.
An electric shock shock can be fatal.
An electric discharge can set fire to the inverter.
An electrical discharge can cause fires capable of spreading to the surrounding areas.
The xStorage Home 3P system must not be subjected to any type of modification.
If the operator does not comply with what is described, the manufacturer declines all responsibility.
7.2 Disposal
The EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) (Directive 2012/19/EU) establishes common rules
on the management of electrical and electronic equipment and minimize its impact — from design until disposal — on
the environment. As a manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment, Eaton actively supports the requirements of
the WEEE Directive.
When the xStorage Home system reaches the end of its service life, the end user should contact an Eaton certified installer for
disposal instructions.
In compliance with the EU standard EN 50419 for marking of electrical and electronic equipment, we include the crossed-out
wheeled bin symbol on our products. This symbol alerts users that these products should be recycled in accordance with local
environmental regulations (and not discarded with household waste). When end-users recycle WEEE they are helping to ensure
that they are neither incinerated nor sent to landfills, minimizing potential negative impact on human health and the environment.
Any device that is no longer needed must therefore be returned to the distributor or disposed to an authorized collection and
recycling center in the area. Eaton encourages all our customers and end users to make responsible decisions when it comes to
disposing products.
Eaton is not responsible for the logistic transportation from the end-user house to the recycling center.
