5.8 Installing the external battery rack
•
The battery rack is packaged using clingwrap and protection.
•
The battery rack is provided with leveling feet in each corner.
•
The battery rack minimum clearances are listed in
Table 5: xStorage Compact system and battery cabinet minimum clearances.
1. Install the battery rack to the installation location. For instructions, refer to Section 4.3
Unpack the xStorage Compact
system.
2. Install the battery packs. For instructions, refer to Section 5.3
Install battery packs.
a. The external battery rack has two battery breakers at the top of the unit. Remove the shield plate to access
the battery breakers.
b. If there are two strings of batteries, install the DC cables of both battery breakers to the battery packs.

The battery packs carry high AC or DC voltages. Handle with care.
