Fire fighting
A lithium-ion fire extinguisher is required if there is a
fire in the front part of the electric machine where the
battery is located.
Li-ion battery fire is difficult to extinguish - if it cannot
be done safely, let the fire brigade take care of it.

Fire extinguishers for lithium-ion batteries
Lithium-ion battery fire should be extinguished with
specially designed fire extinguishers with strong
cooling effect. Cooling down the cells can slow down
heat transfer to other cells and prevent thermal
runaway spread in the other cells.
Fire extinguishers with class AB can be used for
preventing external fire from spreading to nearby
materials, but capability of putting out Li-ion battery fire
is limited.
If specially designed fire extinguisher is not available,
large amount of water should be used to cool down
the battery and to extinguish the battery fire.
If there is a fire in other parts of the machine, it is
possible to use an ABC-class powder fire extinguisher.
A BE-class carbon dioxide fire extinguisher can also
be used.

A fire extinguisher can be ordered as an option.
Though, different standards are used around the world.
If not using the original fire extinguisher, place your
extinguisher as in the picture. A 4 kg extinguisher is
recommended.
Mount it appropriately and make sure it does not
create any hazards.
