Connections (cont’d)
FAULT
Changeover relay clean contacts energised when any radio fault is detected. The connections are
common, normally open and normally closed. The contacts are rated at 24V 2A maximum. These
are:
•
Radio supervision fault (detector periodic supervision report missing) for more than 20
minutes
•
Radio device low battery
•
Jamming detected for more than 30 seconds
Expansion Port
This connector is for use with the D4221 6-channel expander. Fitting this expander will give a total
of 8 channels.
3. Programming
The unit can be programmed using the internal push buttons and LED displays. Radio devices can
be learnt-in and relay operation can be programmed using this interface.
3.1 Channel and Channel Positions Explained
The unit has 2 channels expandable to 8 using the D4221. Each channel has eight positions from A
to H, thus relay CH1 would operate for devices 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, 1F, 1G and 1H; relay CH2 would
operate for devices 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F, 2G and 2H...
Only one radio device can be learnt-in to any one radio device position A to H. Eight radio devices
can be learnt-in to any one radio channel 1 to 8.
Each radio channel corresponds to a channel relay numbered from CH1 to CH8.
3.2 Programming Display and Key Meanings
The display and display LEDs have a dual purpose: they display user information when in normal
working mode and programming information when in programming mode. The key and LED
programming functions are marked on the printed circuit board, revealed when the lid is removed.
