4.0 Assembly Instructions
4.1 Required Tools
Slotted screw driver or 5/16” (8 mm) nut driver to secure the device to a mounting pipe.
Wire cutters to trim cable ties.
4.2 Mounting
UA-1 is designed to fit on a 3/4” nominal diameter schedule 40 pipe, actual outer diameter of
1.06” (26.9 mm).
UA-1 fits on the end of the Dyacon tripod and snaps into the locking button without any tools.

The data cable may be passed through the center of the mounting pipe or outside of the
mounting pipe. (See Image 2.)
A knock-out slot is provided inside of the UA connector compartment.
1. Slide the mounting adapter over the pipe.
2. Align the body of the wind sensors to orient north.
For convenience, an alignment hole is is provided. When a rod is inserted, it points south.
When aligning the anemometer, users will stand on the south side of the anemometer
looking north.
