Top Hat Assembly
Using the Hub, three 1/4-20
x 1-1/4” Hex Bolts, three
1/4-20 Hex Nuts, three 1/4”
Split Lock Washers, three
1/4” Flat Washers, and three
1/4” Square Nuts assemble
the hardware loosely into
the Hub as shown in
Figure
12
. Note the Hex Bolts are
installed in the three holes of
the Hub that have grooves
on top.

These bolts will be adjusted when mating the Top Hat Assembly to the top element of the antenna.
Attach the three Top Hat Brackets to the Hub using the three 1/4” Hex Nuts, three 1/4” Split
Washers, three 1/4” Flat Washers, three 1/4” External Tooth Washers and three 1/4” x 1” long Hex
Head Bolts as shown in
Figure 13
.
Note the External Tooth Washers are positioned between the Bracket and the Hub.
The brackets are parallel to the Hub (straight away from the Hub). Tighten the three hex bolts in
place.
