ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

HYDRAULIC DEFLECTOR KIT FOR 2620 8100831

STEP 1:

With rack and deflector in working position. Support the front of the deflector so its mount can be

removed. Remove deflector latch shield, lever, spring, adjusting bolt, and front mount. These parts will not
be needed. Install deflector mount #8100751 using existing hardware.

STEP 2:

Bolt deflector cylinder mount #8100823 to the front of the deflector with (2) 1/2" x 4-1/2" bolts,

lockwashers and nuts.

STEP 3:

Remove front rack straps and replace with straps #8100829, #8100882 (14-1/4" long). See drawing for

mounting orientation. Bolt in place with (1) 1/2" x 3-1/2" bolt, (1) x 2-1/4" bolt. (1) x I3/4" bolt and (3) 1/2"
toplock nuts. Links must hinge freely!

STEP 4:

Remove rear rack straps and replace with straps #8100881. #8100880 (15" long). See drawing for

mounting orientation. Bolt in place with (1) 1/2" x 3-1/2" bolt, (1) ½”- x 2-1/4" bolt, (1) 1/2" x 1-3 3/4" bolt
and (3) 1/2" toplock nuts. Links must hinge freely!

STEP 5:

Mark the location of the mounting holes on the front of the processor. See drawing. Check hole locations

with cylinder mount #8100824. Drill (4) 9/16" holes through.

STEP 6:

Mount hydraulic cylinder on cylinder mounting bracket #8100824 with 1"x 3" clevis pin and ¼” x 1-3/4"

cotter pin. Install the clevis pin so the head of the pin is against the processor.

STEP 7

Bolt the cylinder-mounting bracket #8100824 to the processor using the (4) holes drilled in step 5. Fasten

bracket with (4) 1/2" x 2-1/2" bolts, lockwashers and nuts. Install bolts with heads to the inside of the
processor.

STEP 8:

Install the rod end of the hydraulic cylinder into the deflector cylinder mount, using #8100830 1"x 6-1/2" pin

and (2) 1/4" x 1-3/4" cotter pins.

STEP 9:

Install ¾” o-ring elbows on the cylinder.

STEP 10:

Assemble the restrictor elbows, hoses, hose clamps, and quick-couplers, as shown on drawings. Allow

enough slack in hydraulic hoses for full cylinder movement check before securing hose clamps.

STEP 11:

With cylinder fully extended. Check the distance from the bottom of the cylinder rod to the top of the

deflector pivot shaft, by holding a square against the front of the deflector. This distance should be no less
than 15/16". If it is less than 15/16", shorten the cylinder length by loosening the clamping bolt and turning
the clevis clock-wise. (See Drawing)

STEP 12:

With cylinder fully extended. Install the deflector cable #8100897. Form a loop on one end of the cable by

bending the cable around a 1/2" bolt and crimping the cable sleeve. Bolt the loop to the deflector as shown.
Thread the cable over the rack bolt and pull taunt, mark the cable and crimp the cable sleeve. Finish
installation. (See Drawing)
