14. The final stage of assembly is to fit the props and spinners. Pay close attention
when fitting the props and ensure that both motors turn in towards the fuselage when
the motors run. The right hand side motor/prop (looking from the front) turns in a
anti clockwise direction with the leading edge of the blades facing the fuselage and
the left hand side motor (looking from the front) turns in a clockwise direction, again
with the leading edge of the blades facing the fuselage. The images shown below fully
illustrate the correct installation of the propeller and correct rotation of the motors.
15. Once you have established propeller orientation, offer each prop up to the prop
shafts and locate into position on the spinner back plate. Use the nut from the prop
shaft to secure the prop in place on the shaft. The spinner can now be screwed in
place but be sure to double check that each blade retaining bolt is secure and all
blades are at an equal distance from one another before you do.
