TRI CHANNEL STEP ONE TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
This guide is designed as the fi rst step in evaluating the operating condition of the refrigeration system on
a Tri-Channel cold pan. Every effort should be made to evaluate and solve the equipment issue before
tapping into the refrigeration system.

Place a thermometer in the bottom of the channel
under the pans
near the center of the channel
and record
the temperatures below. Allow time for the thermometer to stabilize before recording the temperature. The
unit should have been in operation with loaded product (pre-chilled) at least 45 minutes before temperatures
are recorded. Be sure the Daycover is closed when taking temperatures.
Temperatures should be at or below 38°F (3.3°C) in all channels. Temperature variance between channels
is a common occurrence. If any channel temperature is above 38°F (3.3°C) move the sensor approx. 12”
either direction and retake the temperature to confi rm previous readings.
