5. Material trimming
5.1 Setting of the eccentrics (basic)
For the knives “D” and „F“, the mutual orientation of the
eccentrics (2, 3) should be such, so that their counterweights
are in alignment (this refers to the largest possible stroke of
the knife = 2,4 mm).
Caution Danger of injury!
Switch off the main switch! Before starting the
setting operation, wait until the motor stops!
- Remove the trimming device guard.
- Loosen the screws (1).
- Set the eccentrics (2, 3) in such a way, so that both screws
(1, 4) are oriented in the same way.
- Tighten the screws (1).
- Attach the trimming device guard.
- Check the setting of the knife (see Instruction manual, par.
6.1
5).
5.2 Setting of the stop screw
The stop screw (10) is to be duly screwed in, but in such a
way, so that there occurs no spontaneous trimming device
switching off .
Caution! Danger of injury!
Switch off the main switch: Before starting the
setting operation, wait until the motor stops!
- Remove the trimming device guard.
- Screw in duly the screw (10) but in such a way, so that the
trimming device, when being switched on, could not be
switched off when depressing the holder (11) and so that,
at the same time, there occurs no clearance between the
holder (11) and the screw (10) when being switched on.
- Tighten the screw (9).
- Attach the guard.
- Check the setting of the knife (see Instruction manual, par.
6.15).
The trimming knife, in its bottom dead centre,
must not strike with its cutting edge in the throat
plate insert. In its top dead centre, it should not
leave the throat plate insert.
