II - DIRECTIVES
XEL-80 et XEL-300 (version A, AK, AI and SI) blocks are manufactured and certified (INERIS 11 ATEX 0051X and
INERIS 11 ATEX 0052X) in accordance with EC Directives relating to hazardous areas ATEX and are complied with NFC 71820
and NFC 71800 (XEL-80A, AK, AI or SI) French Directives and NF 60598-1 and NF EN 60 598.2.22 European Directives.
The compliance NF.AEAS marking has been allowed on those equipments.

Those models are equipped with automatic test function
IV- CONNECTION / INSTALLATION
According to standards EN60079-14 (Installation) and EN60079-17 (Maintenance).
Only an authorized and specialised work people should install this equipment
Any transformation or modification on this luminaire is forbiden
The installation and/or maintenance people must verify the compatibility between the concept of the luminaire and its
certification code with the environmental and authorized conditions for the site.
Any wrong uses cancel the warranty.
Transportation and storage must be done with the original packing.
The connection should be after the circuit breaker and before the lighting switch.
After energizing, check the panel light.
The battery will take about 24 hours to be fully charged.

CABLE GLAND: Without cable gland for standard delivery.
The luminaire allow to use a ¾ NPT cable gland (3/4 plug fitted), The cable gland installation need to required to standards
EN60079-14 mainly § 14-2 on cable entries.
Put a non-conductive grease in the threads of the cable gland.
In marine environments, it is strongly advised to cover the cable gland with a shroud to avoid electrolysis phenomenon.
To ensure the weatherprofness of the connection, check the tightening of the cable with the inner gasket.
BLOCK OPENING
Warning : do not open blocks without automatic switch off on opening in hazardous area. Otherwise, the blocks have to
be connect to the mains and the remote control with a Ex de IIC T6
outlet.
Before opening the tube,
disconnect the blocks with the outlet and
open only in safe area
CONNECTION TO TERMINAL BLOCK
Connect the mains, the earth and the + and - remote control with the extended terminal block
placed on the electronic gear tray, after reeving the supply cable through the cable gland.
Advice: 5x1,5mm2
The supply cable must keep some flexibility in order not to pull on the plug in terminal block.
