Camera Won’t Power Up
1. Check switch. Move the camera switch to
“
OFF
”
mode
wait 15-20 seconds to allow the camera to properly turn
itself off, then turn the camera back on. Do not move the
switch directly from OFF to ON, always move the switch
all the way right to TEST first, then switch to ON. Make
sure that the switch is correctly in position to ensure the
proper mode.
2. Check batteries or change batteries. Make sure 8 1.5V
alkaline AA batteries are in correctly. Make sure insert
with correct polarity.
3. Check corrosion or water damage. Take out the
batteries, and using a Q-tip and vinegar clean each and
every contact point, both positive and negative. Check to
make sure there is no moisture build up inside the
housing, and assure that all of the screws in the back of
the camera are in place.
4. LCD screen problems. Turn the trail camera ON and
walk back and forth in front of it for a few minutes. Just
because the screen is not showing, does not mean the
camera is not working. After a few minutes, turn the
camera off, and check the SD card to see if it took any
