5 Configuring the ADSL Router

5.1 TCP/IP Settings

Use the following steps to configure your pc to be a DHCP client. These same steps
can be performed for every host PC on your local network if you use the DHCP
function of the router.

1. Click

Start

→

Settings

→

Control Panel

.

2. In classic view mode double click the

Network Connections

icon.

3. Right click on your Ethernet Network Connection (or Wireless Network

Connection if you would like to use the wireless network) and select

properties

from the drop down menu.

4. Select

Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

and click on

Properties

.

5. Make sure that the options

Obtain an IP address automatically

&

Obtain DNS

server address automatically

are selected and click

OK

.
