13. Delivery
It is necessary to explain the operation of the appliance to
the user. Among other things, you should instruct him/her
on how to use the appliance for the fi rst time, how to ope-
rate the remote, provide him/her with information about
annual maintenance.
- The user should be instructed to remove the
plug from the socket outlet immediately in case of
faults/malfunctioning, and to contact the installer
in order to prevent hazardous situations;
- Show the user where the plug fi ts in the socket
outlet so that he/she can act immediately in the
situation described above.
When the appliance is started for the fi rst time,
point out that
- a chimney breast with plastering should be
allowed to dry-out for at least 6 weeks before
using the heating element;
- when the heating element is used for the fi rst
time, volatile components may evaporate from
the paint, materials, etc, and this may produce an
unpleasant odour;
- it is preferable to place the appliance in the
highest position during evaporation;
- the room should be well-ventilated.
Provide the user with a copy of the User Manual
and the Installation Manual (the manuals should
be preserved carefully).
14. Faults
The appliance produces a fl ame effect and the fan is
also working, but the appliance does not give off any
hot air.
It is possible that the thermal cut-out has been triggered;
after some time, the cut-out will cool down and heat will
be generated again.
If the cut-out again comes into operation and switches off
the heating element, please contact your supplier.
The appliance does not perform any actions.
Remove the plug from the appliance and check whether the
two mains supply fuses are defective.
Replace the fuses if they are defective (2 delay-action fuses
of 10 Amperes each) and reinsert the plug in the socket
and contact your supplier if the fuses again develop defects
(
see Fig. Z and situation A and B
)
Under no circumstances should you install fuses of a rating
higher than 10 Amperes. This may have serious consequen-
ces in case of short circuits.
