Parts & Accessories are covered by a
Back-to-Base Warranty. Parts and accessories are deemed to be those items that
can be removed/replaced for normal maintenance: air tubes, bricks, baffles, gaskets, fans, handles, latches, hinges, and
the like. Glass is specifically excluded.
6.
Warranty claims that the Manufacturer/MFA deems to be beyond Back-to-Base practicalities may require on-site
attendance. Under such circumstances the Manufacturer/MFA may issue a written Purchaser Order to an authorised
repairer at predetermined rate/cost that must not exceed the heater’s wholesale replacement cost.
7.
The claimant may be required to pay a service call fee if the location is more than 30 kilometers away from the
retailer/repairer.
8.
The recommended heating area for a given heater is defined by the manufacturer as its capacity to maintain a minimum
acceptable temperature in the designated area in case of a power failure.
9.
An authorized, qualified, and experienced technician must perform the installation in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions and comply with all local and national building codes. Certificates and licenses are required.
10.
The manufacturer may require that defective products be returned or that digital pictures be provided to support the
claim.
11.
Returned products are to be shipped prepaid to the manufacturer for investigation. Transportation fees to ship the
product back to the purchaser will be paid by the manufacturer/distributor.
12.
Repair work covered by the warranty, executed at the purchaser’s domicile by an authorized qualified technician requires
prior written approval of the manufacturer/distributor.
13.
Authorised technicians must be given access to the premisses to assess the claim. The time and date of which will be
nominated by MFA or their representative.
14.
The manufacturer, at its discretion, may decide to repair or replace any part of the heater after inspection and
investigation of the defect. The manufacturer may, at its discretion, fully discharge all obligations with respect to this
warranty by refunding the wholesale price of any warranted but defective parts.
15.
MFA may replace heaters/components with refurbished goods of the same type rather than repair or replace them.
16.
Where a product is superseded or not readily available, a product of close specification may be used.
17.
The manufacturer will, in no event, be responsible for any uncommon, indirect, consequential damage of any nature,
which is more than the original purchase price of the product.
