i) Handset
The handset is designed to be used by the carer only. The mattress platform can
be tilted from either the head or foot end and the cot height is adjustable. To adjust
the position of the cot, depress the relevant button until the desired point has been
reached and then release the button.
ii) Battery Backup
A battery backup feature will automatically be engaged when the cot is disconnected
from the mains supply. This allows emergency or temporary operation of the cot
for a limited period but will vary depending on the features used and battery level.
If operated using the battery backup an alarm will sound when the battery level
becomes low.
The cot should remain connected to the mains supply at all times for normal use, to
ensure that the batteries remain fully charged. This will also prolong the life of the
batteries.
iii) Resetting / Initialising the Electrical System
• Press and hold both hi/low buttons on the handset together.
• An audible alarm will be heard for approximately 5 seconds.
• When the alarm stops sounding release the buttons and drive the cot up to its
maximum height.
• When at maximum height re-press the up button again.

To lower the cot depress
Note: When putting the mattress platform into tilt it is only possible to have one end in
tilt at any one time. Before raising one end ensure that the opposite end is fully lowered.
