Your Inspiration Cot comes fully assembled and ready for use. Simply remove any 
packaging and connect the mains cable to an appropriate mains socket outlet.

6. INSTALLATION AND PREPARING FOR USE

•  Ensure that the mains cable is not in tension when connected to the 

power supply.

•  Ensure that all cables and handsets are clear of any moving parts on 

the cot to prevent them from becoming tangled or damaged.

Note: The cot must only be used with a mains supply of 230V

±

10%, ~50/60Hz. If this 

product is to be used outside the UK seek professional advice as to the compatibility 

of this product with the mains power supply type.

7. OPERATING THE INSPIRATION COT

•  When the cot is operated, ensure that ancillary equipment and 

general furniture is not in the way.

•  Check that all electrical cables are not in tension and are 

positioned so as to avoid both patient and carer accidents e.g. 
trip hazards.

•  Ensure that the mattress used is of correct size and type. 

•  Ensure that the patient is positioned appropriately within the 

cot and ensure that they are aware in advance of each action 
taking place.

•  The cot’s braking system should always be engaged when the 

cot is stationary.

•  Ensure these instructions for use are kept in a safe place at 

all times. Additional copies are available from Drive DeVilbiss 
Healthcare and via the website at www.sidhil.com.
