This page will determine the number of concurrent FTP connection, default charset for FTP
server and enable Samba service. At present, the Vigor router can support USB diskette with
formats of FAT16 and FAT32 only. Therefore, before connecting the USB diskette into the
Vigor router, please make sure the memory format for the USB diskette is FAT16 or FAT32.
It is recommended for you to use FAT32 for viewing the filename completely (FAT16 cannot
support long filename).
General Settings
Simultaneous FTP Connection -
This field is used to specify
the quantity of the FTP sessions. The router allows up to 6 FTP
sessions connecting to USB storage diskette at one time.
Default Charset -
At present, Vigor router supports three types
of character sets: default, GB2312 and BIG5.
Default Charset is for English based file name. For Simplified
Chinese file/directory names, please choose GB2312; for
Traditional Chinese file/directory names, choose BIG5.
Samba Service Settings
Click
Enable
to invoke samba service via the router.
Access Mode
LAN Only
– Users coming from internet cannot connect to the
samba server of the router.
LAN And WAN
- Both LAN and WAN users can
access samba server of the router.
NetBios Name Service
For the NetBios service of USB diskette, you have to specify a
workgroup name and a host name. A workgroup name must not
