Safety-related information
Before using this product, carefully read these Instructions
for Use and those of the associated products.
Strictly follow the instructions for use. The user must fully
understand and strictly observe the instructions. Use the
product only for the purposes specified in the Intended use
section of this document.
Do not dispose of the instructions for use. Ensure that they
are retained and appropriately used by the product user.
Only trained and competent users are permitted to use this
product.
Comply with all local and national rules and regulations
associated with this product.
Only trained and competent personnel are permitted to
inspect, repair and service the product. Dräger
recommends a Dräger service contract for all maintenance
activities and that all repairs are carried out by Dräger.
Only authentic Dräger spare parts and accessories may be
used for maintenance. Otherwise the proper functioning of
the product may be impaired.
Do not use a faulty or incomplete product. Do not modify
the product.
Notify Dräger in the event of any product or component
fault or failure.

Description
Dräger WorkMaster Industry are gas-tight chemical protective
suits according to EN 943-1:2015+A1:2019 (type 1b) with
integrated full face mask. They are re-usable. The integrated
full face mask has one of the following connectors:
Round thread connector (RA) according to DIN EN 148-1
Plug-in connector (P) for protective positive apparatus
Universal connector (PE) according to DIN EN 148-3
A SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus) or an air line
breathing apparatus with a suitable connector for a full face
mask are required for breathing air supply.
The SCBA or air line breathing apparatus and the safety
helmet are worn over the chemical protective suit. Possible
combinations see Chap. 3.4 on Page 18.
The gas-tight gloves are easily replaceable. To improve
chemical and mechanical resistance overgloves can be worn
over the gloves as an addition.
The gas-tight protective boots are also replaceable.
The following optional components can be fitted to the
chemical protective suit:
Regulating valve RV-PT 120 L
for ventilation of the suit interior
Straps
for later installation of a ventilation system
Elbow and knee protectors
Material reinforcements in areas under heavy strain
Task force ID numbers
for easy identification of the task force team
Marking with a waterproof marker is possible, but not
recommended
3.1
Intended use
The chemical protective suit protects against gaseous, liquid,
aerosol-based and solid hazardous substances.
3.2
Limitations on the intended use
Certain chemicals are subject to restrictions regarding the
period of use depending on concentration, state of aggregation
and ambient conditions. Avoid heat and open flames.
The chemical protective suit is not suitable for firefighting
purposes, nor for use in explosion-hazard areas. For
information on mechanical and chemical resistance as well as
on temperature resistance refer to Chap. 9 on Page 24.
The chemical protective suit does not offer protection against
radiation of radioactive particles or radiation damage.
The chemical protective suit may not be used when it is
damaged or worn.
