Taking off the chemical protective suit
1. Remove the safety helmet where applicable.
2. If the chemical protective suit is equipped with a regulating
valve, have the air supply disconnected by a second
person.
3. Disconnect the breathing apparatus from the full face
mask, and set down.
4. Take off the chemical protective suit:
a. Open the fastener system.
Always pull in the direction of the zip. Do not use force.
b. Pull the arms out of the sleeves.
c. Unfasten the straps on the full face mask:
Insert a finger underneath the straps on the neckband
and push the adjusting buckles forwards using your
thumb.
d. Remove the full face mask.
5. Fold the chemical protective suit away from the wearer in
such a way that no chemicals or cleaning agents can enter
the interior of the suit.
6. Climb out of the safety boots and trouser legs.

Maintenance
6.1
Maintenance intervals
The specified intervals are recommended by Dräger. Any
deviating national directives must be complied with.
For maintenance work on the full face mask, regulating valve
and SCBA, refer to the relevant operating instructions.
Replacement of full face mask only through Dräger Service.
6.2
Visually inspecting the chemical
protection suit
The following examinations are mandatory. The chemical
protective suit must be disposed of in case of defects.
No holes, cuts or abrasions must be found on the outside
of the chemical protective suit.
The seam band must not be coming apart in any way.
The full face mask must be clean.
WARNING
Only take off the chemical protective suit in a non-
contaminated area.

Chap. 10 on Page 26).
