1.1
General safety statements
Before using the product, read these instructions for use
and those for the associated products carefully.
Strictly follow the Instructions for Use. The user must fully
understand and strictly observe the instructions. Use the
product only for the purposes specified in the Intended use
section of this document.
Do not dispose of the Instructions for Use. Ensure that they
are retained and appropriately used by the product user.
Comply with all local and national rules and regulations
associated with this product.
Only trained and competent personnel are permitted to
inspect, repair and service the product. Dräger recommend
a Dräger service contract for all maintenance activities and
that all repairs are carried out by Dräger.
Use only original Dräger parts and accessories for
maintenance work. Otherwise, the correct functioning of
the product could be impaired.
Do not use a faulty or incomplete product. Do not modify
the product.
Notify Dräger in the event of any component fault or failure.

2.2
Intended use
The Dräger Interlock Demo-Unit is a demonstration device to
show the functionality of the Dräger Interlock 5x00/7x00, the
camera, the GPRS module and the control unit.
None of the components is permitted to be removed from the
case and installed into a vehicle.
The results of the alcohol measurement are not permitted to be
used for any other purpose.

Use
3.1
Preparation for use
1. Position the case on a level and stable surface.
2. Open out the case.
3. Remove the existing adapter cover on the external power
supply.
4. Fit the appropriate adapter plug onto the fastening plate on
the external power supply unit.
5. Connect the external power supply unit to the charging
connection on the case.
6. Connect the external power supply unit to the mains supply
(100 to 240 V AC). The red LED in the case will flash
several times. A beep will sound.
7. Plug the handset into the mount.
8. Position the camera (optional) in the relevant location.
9. Position the antenna (optional) in the relevant location.
10. Set the required engine noise with the noise controller.
11. Fit the deco plates.
12. Keep the ignition key ready.
3.2
Requirements for a measurement
No alcohol and solvent vapours (disinfectants, window
cleaning fluids) in the ambient air.
Do not allow a high alcohol concentration to reach the sensor,
e.g. from drinking alcohol, eating alcohol containing foods or
rinsing the mouth with alcoholic mouthwash just before
measurement.
3.3
Making a measurement
NOTICE
In the delivery condition, the Interlock of the Demo-Unit
cannot communicate with the Interlock Manager PC
software. Changes to the parameter settings on the
interlock are not possible. If a change is required,
contact DrägerService.

NOTICE
As soon as the Demo-Unit is supplied with power, the
control unit and, if applicable, the modem are also
supplied directly.
NOTICE
Use a new mouthpiece for each person being tested.
Replace the mouthpiece every 90 days at the latest for
hygiene reasons.
