Instructions for Use

Taking Measurements

1. Remove the Jaundice Meter from the 

charger unit.

NOTE:

Check the light output of the device at least 
once each shift (refer to “Operational 
Checkout of the Jaundice Meter” on page 
4-4). Proper light output is one factor that 
affects meter performance. Light output must 
be within the range shown on the inside cover of the checker to obtain 
reliable measurements.

CAUTION:

Unit must be placed in charger as shown, or damage to charging 
contacts could occur.

WARNING:

Before use, clean the measuring probe 
by wiping it with medicinal alcohol. 
Failure to do so could result in the 
spread of infection or infant injury.

2. Using medicinal alcohol, clean the 

measuring probe.
