For transmitters whose nominal power is not specified in the above table, the distance can be determined
using the equation for the respective column, where
P
is the nominal power of the transmitter in watts (W)
according to the data of the manufacturer.
NOTE 1: To calculate the recommended separation distance of transmitters in the frequency range of 80 MHz,
an additional factor of 10/3 was used to reduce the probability that a mobile/portable communication device
that is unintentionally carried into the
PATIENT
area could lead to disturbance.
NOTE 2: These guidelines may not apply in all situations. The propagation of electromagnetic waves is
influenced by absorptions and reflections from structures, objects and people.
