8.2.6.2

Ping Targets

A ping target failure can be set to notify like a discrete alarm (see Notifications).  When the ping target
fails a number of times greater than the Ping Threshold (see Ping Target Settings) the alarm is set and
any selected notifications will be triggered.

The Edit > Ping Targets menu

Provisioning Ping Targets

Pnt

ID number for the ping target.

Enab

Check this box to enable the ping target.

Description

User-definable description for the ping target.

Server (IP or Hostname)

IP address or hostname of the device you would like to ping.

Notification Devices

Check which notification device(s), 1 through 8, you want to send

alarm notifications for ping target.
