 Make an ellipse-shaped hole, so that a fire clearance of at least 50 mm is created
all the way around the pipe.

Extend the concentric pipe (1), US 100/50 10, until it extends a minimum of 250
mm beyond roof level, (more is permitted, up to a maximum freestanding length
of 1000 mm).

Centre the pipe using the centring plates (2), USCP 10, and fasten it using the
mounting bracket (3), USEB 15.

Slide a roof plate for a pitched roof (bitumen roof) or a lead flashing (4), USLS
10, (tiled roof) over the pipe, and seal it or cover it, making it watertight.
 Seal the seam between the pipe and the roof plate cone or lead flashing using a
silicone kit and in some cases a storm collar (5), USSR 10, making it watertight.

Install the roof terminal (6), USDVC2 10, and secure it using the clamp supplied.
3.3.5. Conversion of an existing smoke channel.
Preparation
Before starting with the conversion, check whether the requested flue path is al-
lowed according to the calculation sheet in attach, and whether the existing chimney
is in compliance with the prerogatives above.
If the smoke channel was already in use previously, thorough cleaning and a check
for leaks are recommended.
Parts
To convert an existing smoke channel, the following
parts are required (see drawing) :


 concentric channel, 100/150 mm, Metaloterm US

lower flange, square 300 mm
 single-wall round sliding part, diameter 97 mm

self-tapping screws (4 pcs)
 flexible stainless steel tube 316L, single-wall and
round, diameter 100/107 mm (heat resistance
600°C)
 stainless steel hose clip, diameter yield 90 to 165
mm

existing chimney or smoke channel
 roof flange, square 300 mm

locking band (supplied with 11)
 roof terminal USDVC2 10
Parts 3, 4, 5, 7, and 9 are included in the conversion
kit USSAN 10.
