UAS Belt

Rear-Facing Child Restraint
Installation with UAS Belt

Note:

Tuck tether

strap and hook
between child
restraint and vehicle
seat to secure.

• 

Check vehicle owner’s

manual for seat belt use
with a child restraint.

• 

Do not use the vehicle

seat belt when using the
universal anchorage
system (UAS).

WARNING

!

Never place a child in front of an active
frontal air bag in the rear-facing position.
Death or serious injury can occur.

To thread the UAS belt
put belt end with hook
and adjuster through the
forward facing belt path
slot.

Reach under pad, pulling
UAS hook and adjuster
between left rear
harness guide and buckle
strap and out the rear-
facing belt path slot.

Thread vehicle seat belt
under pad in front of
crotch strap to the
opposite side. Buckle
vehicle belt.

Note:

DO NOT

PLACE VEHICLE
BELT 
over the child’s legs.

Push down firmly on the
seat of the child restraint
and pull up on shoulder
belt to tighten.

With one hand at belt
path, push and pull the child
restraint from side to side,
forward and back. If the
vehicle belt does not
loosen, the child restraint
should be secure.
If vehicle belt loosens,
repeat all steps. Check
seat belt use in your vehicle
owner’s manual and review
the “Locking Clip
Installation” section or call
DJG Consumer Relations
for help.

Use of this child restraint in any vehicle
where the lap or lap/shoulder belt cannot
