Installation
A
Connect the unit directly to the battery.
When doing so, you should also follow the vehicle manufacturer's guidelines.
Route the power supply lead as illustrated (fig.
b
):

Feed the wiring loom to the left through the roof cupboard to the A-pillar.
➤
Run the wiring loom downwards to the cab‘s coupling joint (preferably along
the roof hatch drain hose) and along the existing wiring under the front flap
to the outside.
➤
Run the wiring loom to the battery compartment along a route where it is
protected.
➤
Connect the power supply negative lead (black) to the battery negative
terminal as illustrated.
➤
Connect the voltage monitor negative lead (black) to the battery negative
terminal as illustrated.

Connect the power supply positive lead (red) to the battery positive terminal
as illustrated via a 40 A fuse.
➤
Connect the voltage monitor positive lead (red) to the battery positive
terminal as illustrated via a 2 A fuse.

Connect the wiring loom to the unit and fix with a cable tie in a suitable
position (fig.
b
2.
).
NOTICE!
•
The connection to the vehicle's electrical system should be protected by a
40 A fuse for the power supply and a 2 A fuse for the voltage monitor.
•
The battery must be capable of supplying the required current and voltage
(chapter “Technical data” on page 16).
•
Route the power supply lead stressless and secure it with cable binders in
appropriate intervals.
NOTE
Place the fuse holder no more than 0.3 m from the positive terminal of the
battery.
